Taking Time – To Take Care of Our Mind

In this Ted Talk, Andy Puddicome poses the question, when was the last time you took the time to do nothing?

He also questions the fact, we humans will at least make an attempt to take care of all of our body parts, except our mind.

Apparently, we do not seem to think of our mind as a part of our body we need to care for. We often let it run “amuck”….darting to and fro, grasping at and running off with different wandering thoughts in a half-hazard, dramatic or worrisome manner.  It would appear, and I find it to be true for myself personally, we allow ourselves to be drug around throughout our waking moments by what our minds are thinking and feeling. Never stopping for a moment to consider the idea that it could be any different. We accept it for what we think it is….an unchangeable human experience.

Yet the truth is…not only is it changeable…it is proving to be a healthy change.
